As a huge Spider Man fan, I am honored to be given the opportunity to work with Insomniac Games on Marvel's Spider Man 2! I was the Environment Art Manager for this title, and was directly responsible for planning and overseeing the uprezzing, expansion, and overall quality of Marvel's New York - now including Brooklyn and Queens! A major part of my role on this project was working with the team to figure out how we were going to handle this massive amount of work. I worked with the team to identify landmarks, modular kit pieces to be made anew and others to be uprezzed, neighborhood buildout strategies, and new props needed that were worth sending out to our external prop vendor. Additionally, I liased with our Core/Tech Art Team on next gen tools and features that would allow us to create complex Train Lines, Bridges, Road/Freeways networks, and natural terrain like Central Park. Then, roadmapped it all into a production timeline that made sense. There was so much work to do that we ended up building a new External Development Art Pipeline to support the workload in addition to the internal team's efforts. The end result was a city worthy of critical acclaim, made possible by an incredibly talented team. I had the privilege of leading this work, while the artists credited in the screenshots brought it to life. Additional credit goes out Robert Wilinski for making amazing materials used throughout the city, and our incredible Core/Tech Art and Rendering Team: Al Hastings, Abdul Bezrati, Jahrain Jackson, Harrison Eilers, Scott Kircher, David Santiago, and Xray Halperin!
