My lone character piece. I've decided to leave it up, despite my focus shifting to Environment Art as of late, because it really shows my knowledge of Zbrush in a way that most environment art can't.

This model is of course Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid 1 era. It was modeled, textured, and rigged by Mike DiMeo. I came up with the final design for the character by mixing a few different types of reference. I've included those reference images later in the gallery.

This is an intentionally high resolution model. It is about 30,000 triangles, and uses a total of 9 2048x2048 maps.
It uses 2 Diffuse Maps, 2 normal maps, 2 specular maps, 2 specular color maps, and 1 opacity map for the hair.

I also rigged him in max using the default biped.

This character was created using 3D Studio Max 2008, Zbrush and textured with Photoshop CS3.
